MOBILE CARNIVAL MUSEUM!

Mobile was the first city in the Western Hemisphere to celebrate Mardi Gras,1703 (book quote - Mardi Gras in Mobile- by L. Craig Roberts). Join the party as your friendly guide shows you around! The museum is housed in the historic Bern-Bush home on the parade route in downtown Mobile. It houses 14 gallery rooms, a pictorial hallway, theater, den, and gift shop. The home, registered as a historic building, affords visitors the opportunity to also enjoy the detailed crown molding, pine floors, and exquisite chandeliers

FAMILY FUN! MODEL TRAINS AND WILDLIFE CRITTERS

As we head to Main Street USA Model Train exhibit. Housed in the 24’ by 60’ building, and a quarter of a mile track, this gift to the City of Foley took 6000 volunteer hours to put the “O” gauge track display together. A member of The Caboose Club will take the microphone to share the story. Followed by a trip to the hands-on nature center, Weeks Bay Reserve. And the Ottlilie Holstead Visitors Center. Wildlife plants and critters displays. Raised boardwalks of interesting nature trails, all handicap accessible.

THE FAIRHOPE CASTLE. TWO CASTLES ON ONE LAND

These magical, one-of-a- kind handcrafted treasures were created over more than sixty years, beginning with Sheldon’s Castle, home of the legendary artist and sculptor, Craig Sheldon.
